I believe Bruno Labate of the NYPO told off Klemperer many years ago - "Klemps - you talka too much"<br /><br />Heard you and your colleagues at Carnegie a few months back - with Mr. Muti. Britten Grimes was just outstanding, as was the entire program. Many thanks and keep coming back!Gerontiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13843097674796866409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-388014615339890178.post-1782191150990539552018-04-22T20:47:24.953-05:002018-04-22T20:47:24.953-05:00Thanks!Thanks!Michael Hovnanianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07822257921093170726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-388014615339890178.post-39845693547988659372018-04-22T17:52:45.259-05:002018-04-22T17:52:45.259-05:00I've been meaning since February to welcome yo...I've been meaning since February to welcome you back - WELCOME BACK. Another element is the conductor's willingness to let the performance become a sort of synthesis between his/her ideas and the orchestra's impulses. Some of the conductors I have most enjoyed over the years have reacted to what they were hearing and incorporated the creativity of the musicians into the interpretation in a spontaneous conversation. Of course to accomplish this, the Maestro must periodically shut up and let us play.nocynichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07998727400312237867noreply@blogger.com
