The "adjustments" you mention seem mild compared to his rewriting of the piccolo part during the Shepherd's Merrymaking. At times it sounded more like Stars and Stripes Forever.................still, for someone from the staid Vienna Phil, I guess he finally feels "set free" and among conductors he is one of the most interesting I find.
